About Veterinary Student Externships

Two-week clinical rotations at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa expose veterinary students to the real-world of veterinary medicine. Students have the opportunity to be mentored by senior clinicians in specialty and emergency fields. For many students, the cost of accommodations during externships presents a barrier. In partnership with an anonymous donor who made the initial donation and with BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa, externships are being made available to underrepresented minority students in their third or fourth year of veterinary school at Tuskegee University.
