About Lily's Legacy
Dogs are our best friends, our family, our companions, our hearts. When they're gone, they leave a hole in our lives that can never be filled, and Lily was no exception.
Brooke Palmer Kuhl said, "My Lily, our baby Bug, our Bugga Fresh. Is gone. I have lost 4 dogs now, but she, she hits differently. You came into our lives when I least expected it and made me the happiest I’ve ever been. I’ve rescued 65 Pitbulls with the Pitbull Mafia of South Tampa because of you, I have advocated fiercely, donated tens of thousands of dollars to rescues in your name, I even wrote a paper at Georgetown about you and the power of rescue. 🐾 It’s been unbearable few weeks without you. I sit with your sister Scarlett, sobbing, hugging your toys and blankets, wishing for one more day. I believe you sent me your new baby brother Captain Hook. He is SO much like you! Like everything you did for me, you didn’t want me to suffer, and you didn’t either. Your selflessness in life and even death was proof that unconditional love does exist. I’ll never be over you, there won’t be a day I don’t think about you, but I know it is in my heart to carry on your spirit. It was an honor to be your Kahu. There will never be another “Best Dog Ever”. But know you were my favorite hello, and certainly my hardest goodbye. I love you and will miss you forever my baby Bug. 💔"
In honor of Lily Buckeye Palmer Kuhl (11/22/11-7/27/24) her family is matching all donations made, up to $2,500, with the goal of raising $5,000 for pets in need of lifesaving veterinary care. Lily's family want to remember her by paying it forward for other family-loved pets that may be unable to afford the care Lily received throughout her lifetime.
Please share your condolences and honor her legacy by making a gift in Lily's name today.
